In addition to the energy rates above you will have charges related to distribution, transmission, rate riders and other standard fees. These are regulated by the provincial government and do not change regardless of which retailer you choose. The monthly administration fee is $10.95 per service on 3Y fixed rate plans and $9.95 for other plans. All fixed rate services have a contract fee of 59¢/day. The 3Y special discount rate of 7.89¢/kWh applies to the first 1,000 kWh of consumption per month and the standard rate of 8.89¢/kWh applies to all consumption after that. The 5Y special discount rates of 8.29¢/kWh add 8.59¢/kWh apply to the first 1,000 kWh of consumption per month. The standard rate of 8.99¢/kWh applies to all consumption after that. Fixed gas consumption up to 15 GJ per month is eligible for the special rate of $3.29/GJ (3Y) and $3.59 (5Y). After 15 GJ there is an additional premium of $1.40/GJ on the 3Y and $1.10/GJ on the 5Y.
